It’s not about finding a job.
It’s about finding a purpose.

Why, specifically, is the success of vets critical to the future of South Carolina business and economic prosperity?

In South Carolina, there are more than 400,000 veterans. In this veteran population, many of the most often-mentioned woes —PTSD, suicide, and depression—can be linked back to a common factor: a lack of purpose.

At the same time, recent military drawdowns are leaving thousands of career military veterans without employment—or, in many cases, underemployed or undereducated—and they leave service with enormous amounts of skills and specialized knowledge that are often lost in the translation to civilian life.

We’ve created RECON SC to give the men and women who protected our country the help they deserve and create the life they want. RECON SC isn’t a job fair—it’s an intersection of resources, leadership, and information, with the purpose of helping service men and women set goals, discover their gifts, assess their talents and skills, and establish their own value in their next career, and into their future.
